At LIFT Social Enterprise, we’re passionate about building a future where every Rangatahi (young person) in Hawke’s Bay can access sustainable, fulfilling employment or self-employment opportunities. Our mission is to transform employment outcomes for 16 to 24-year-olds by offering the right mix of support, guidance, and real-world opportunities to help them thrive.
We know that meaningful change starts with understanding. That’s why we actively engage with Rangatahi, parents, whānau, community leaders, service providers, educators, and employers to identify the real barriers young people face when stepping into the workforce. These insights shape everything we do—from the programmes we offer to the way we deliver them.
Our approach is hands-on, innovative, and grounded in what works. We create personalised pathways that support young people to grow in confidence, build practical skills, and explore both employment and entrepreneurial options. Whether it’s through job coaching, driver licensing, creative enterprise, or connections to local employers, we help Rangatahi move forward with purpose.
At LIFT, we believe that doing things differently is not just an option—it’s essential. By challenging the status quo and co-designing solutions with youth at the centre, we’re creating long-term impact and empowering the next generation of leaders, changemakers, and business owners.
